February 4th, 2012 begins the year of the Water Dragon. Reading about the year I was enamored; a good year to improve oneself, transformational, calculated investments leading to extraordinary wealth. I loved the dragon, powerful, wise, a bit hot headed, but still with water soothing that temperament, the predictions for the year were looking pretty good!
And then amongst the different articles I was scanning on the internet, it seemed that although extraordinary opportunity was possible, unless one rode the dragon with skill and attention, the year could turn out to be really bad!
So off I went to review the skills I needed to ride this dragon to success! It seems dragons are fearless, and very enthusiastic. The art of patience coupled with extensive planning and research are needed to put the calculation in “calculated risk”!
Dragons, it appears, in their enthusiasm and fearlessness, take on too many projects and their actions can go horribly wrong if they don’t make smart decisions, re-evaluate continuously, and choose carefully between the competing opportunities. The more I read, the more dragons sounded very much like the CEO.
But I’m ready for February 4th, although I have added to my schedule a review of all current projects, budgets and expected results so I can be fearless with intention. Oh, and by the way, I was born in the year of the wood horse!
