Getting to Know the Real Nadia Karmas

Here are some fun questions we asked Nadia and here’s what she had to say.

What's the first thing on your mind every morning?

The first thing that comes to my mind when I wake up is my kids, including my cat.

Describe your work at Imprint Plus in one sentence or phrase?

I am the Digital Marketing Manager. My primary responsibilities are driving traffic, creating brand awareness, and lead generation through all the digital channels — both organic and paid.

What/who inspires you?

My mom inspires me the most. She taught me to stand up for what I believe in, to be strong and resilient. She instilled in me that hard work pays off and there is a solution to every problem if we have the determination to go for it. I always try to apply these lessons in my personal and professional life. I will always be grateful to her for teaching me the value of openness and inclusion.

Where do you see Imprint Plus in 5 years?

I see Imprint Plus growing into a global leader in name badges and signage solutions. I would also love to expand the digital team in multiple languages so we can reach a wider audience.

Tell us one thing we don’t know about you?

I am a very spiritual being and have an introverted personality despite my extroverted nature.

Recommend one Imprint Plus product to our followers.

I love the badge talkers! They can be added to any name badge to promote unique messages. They are versatile and come in various shapes and sizes to create an eye-catching name tag that can complement different occasions and messages.

What book are you reading at the moment?

When the body says no by Dr. Gabor Maté. It is an inspiring book that tells us to listen to our body and promote self-healing and self-love.

What’s your favorite TV show?

I don't watch TV, but I have Netflix. I have many favorite shows, and the list is long. From RuPaul's Drag Race to Unorthodox, food competitions to Spanish and Arabic telenovelas, and many more. It all depends on the mood.

What's your go-to productivity trick?

Focus on the why. Make a list, prioritize the list and make it happen.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?

Resilience. With resilience comes autonomy, adaptability, and awareness. When facing challenges, this particular trait helps me start over, look at every angle, do it again, and sometimes pause, reflect and pivot in a new direction.

What was your first job?

When I was 11 years old I worked as a house cleaner to help my mom financially.

What's the worst job you've ever had, and what did you learn from it?

As a student, I got a job as a part-time crew member at McDonald’s. I was grateful for the opportunity. However, I hated coming back home smelling like burgers and fries. My clothes gave out the odor of fried fat. For a long time, I could not eat burgers and fries because it reminded me of the situation.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

I spend time doing various fun activities with my kids, exploring new places in the city and beyond, or practicing yoga.

What's one thing that surprised you about working at Imprint Plus?

I was amazed to see flags from different countries and cultures flying high at the office which represents the diversity of the Imprint Plus staff. I feel included and happy to be part of a company that believes in and promotes equality and diversity.
