Wall of Success Spotlight: Jeremy Liu at Imprint Plus

Some people think accounting is all about crunching numbers, but Jeremy Liu sees it differently. Officially, his title is Accounting Specialist II. Unofficially, he is the one who makes the numbers dance, or at least tries to make sure they are never boring. If you asked a 5-year-old, Jeremy would tell them it is about “finding fun in numbers,” which feels about right.

A Winning Start

When Jeremy found out he had won this month’s Wall of Success, the reaction was not a victory lap. It was more surprise and gratitude. “I was still within three months, so it was unexpected,” he shared. Still, it did not take long for his impact to shine. This month’s proudest moment? Joining the team that presented to the executive group and sister companies. That is no small feat for someone so new.

And of course, no win happens alone. Jeremy gives a big shout-out to our finance manager Kamal, the finance team, and the leadership team for their support.

Numbers and Beyond

Behind the spreadsheets, Jeremy has a soft spot for certain numbers more than others (yes, even in accounting, some digits are more lovable). He also enjoys writing things down by hand, a classic work hack that keeps him grounded in a digital-first world.

If given the chance to trade jobs for a day, he would choose Varun’s role on the production floor. Why? “I want to see how our products are actually produced on the front end.” It is that curiosity about how things connect that makes him valuable to other departments as well.

And when asked what product he thinks deserves more attention, his answer was clear. Imprint Plus does more than name badges. The ability to customize products based on customer needs is what excites him most.

Life Outside the Ledger

Weekends are for balance: a little grocery shopping, a little soccer, and maybe a chess match or two. He once spent a high school year with a host family in Switzerland, and it remains the dream destination for a return trip.

Around the office, coworkers might be surprised to learn about that chess hobby, or maybe they just know him as the one who always laughs at Anatolii’s jokes. A memorable moment so far? Presenting at the AOP meeting for the first time in the company’s history. That one will stick.

Quick Picks

  • Sweet or salty? Sweet wins every time, although Jeremy admits sugar and he are in a complicated relationship. “Sweet for sure, but now I need to control my sugar level.” Translation: the office candy stash may not be safe.
  • Book or movie? Movie. It is not about avoiding reading, it is about protecting his eyes. Practical and efficient, just like his spreadsheets.
  • Starry night or city skyline? Starry night, no hesitation. He spends the week with numbers, so of course he prefers looking up at infinity instead of traffic lights.
  • Early bird or night owl? Somewhere in between. Not an early riser, not a midnight philosopher, more of a “get me coffee and I’ll be fine” kind of person.
  • One word friends would use? Tall. Forget clever adjectives or profound compliments. Jeremy’s height enters the room before he does.

Looking Ahead

For the months ahead, Jeremy is excited to learn more about the business, see how other departments work, and figure out how he can bring even more value. If Imprint Plus ever released a product inspired by him, it might just be called “World Peace.”

His advice to anyone new on the team is simple: “Enjoy the good team environment and good culture.”
