How Do I Print Insert Sheets Correctly?

Proper printing is a key step in making sure your name badges look clean, professional, and aligned. Whether you’re using NamePrint Graphics Cloud or Design Studio, following the right printing setup ensures your inserts fit perfectly into your badge holders.

 

Start with the right setup

When printing your insert sheets at home or in the office, the most common issue is misalignment. This usually happens when the print settings default to “Fit to Page,” which shrinks or scales your layout and throws off the positioning.

To prevent this, follow these steps:

1. Disable “Fit to Page” 
    In your browser or printer settings, always turn off any scaling options labeled “Fit to Page” or “Shrink to Fit.”
2. Set Scale to 100% or “Actual Size” 
    This keeps your design true to its intended layout, ensuring the names and logos line up with the insert cutouts.
3. Print a test sheet first 
   Use a blank sheet of paper (not your actual insert sheet) to run a test print. Once printed, place your insert sheet over the test page to verify that all elements align correctly before printing on the final material.
