Employee Spotlight of the Month: Neil Caverley - Customer Service Manager

Born and raised in Vancouver, Neil Caverley has spent most of his life in this cosmopolitan city. During his childhood, he got the opportunity to live on his grandmother's chicken farm in Fiji, where he spent a few summers with his uncles and aunt. Neil completed his high school education at North Delta Senior Secondary and went on to attend Kwantlen Polytechnic University for his post-secondary education. Currently, Neil holds the position of Customer Service Manager at Imprint Plus, where he manages the customer service and technical support teams that assist clients through phone, email, or chat.

Neil's interest in world history has led him to explore and learn through various mediums like documentaries, books, and YouTube videos. Among his favorite YouTube channels are Oversimplified, Vlogging through History, and Extra History. Besides history, Neil cherishes spending time with his dog, Grace, who has been his constant companion for the past nine years. He also loves hanging out with his sister, who encourages him to try new things, such as painting.

What's the first thing on your mind every morning?

I often wonder about what’s going on with the world in the morning. Personally, I tend to check the news to stay informed about current events.

Describe your work/role at Imprint Plus in one sentence or phrase.

In my role as the Customer Service Manager at Imprint Plus, my primary aim is to facilitate seamless and optimal customer experiences. I strive to ensure that doing business with Imprint Plus is a hassle-free and straightforward process for all our valued customers.

What/who inspires you?

When it comes to the people who have had a significant impact on my life, two individuals immediately come to mind - my father and my sister. My dad instilled in me the importance of always doing the right thing, and his teachings have stayed with me to this day. On the other hand, my sister's creative prowess has been a constant source of inspiration for me. She has continuously motivated me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new ideas and experiences. For their invaluable influence, I am grateful to both.

Where do you see Imprint Plus in 5 years?

The next five years hold tremendous potential for growth, and I am thrilled at the prospect of exploring innovative technologies that can revolutionize our business. The possibilities are endless, and it's exciting to consider the impact they can have on our industry.

What's your go-to productivity trick?

I think it's beneficial to take a step back and evaluate your priorities. Figure out which tasks you can complete that will yield the greatest impact within the given time frame.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute to your success, and why?

My curiosity and eagerness to learn are two qualities that help me in achieving my goals. Continuously seeking knowledge not only provides me with a better perspective but also equips me with the necessary tools to overcome any challenges that may come my way.

What was your first job?

At the age of sixteen, I landed my first job at Future Shop, an electronics retail store. As a sales representative, I was assigned to the computer department, where I worked as a member of the sales team.

What's the worst job you've ever had, and what did you learn from it?

It is fortunate for me to say that I have never had a bad job! Through my years of experience, I have learned a lot about prioritizing and delegation.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

When I have free time, I like to play fast-paced online games with my friends or take my dog to the park.

What's one thing that surprised you about working at Imprint Plus?

I am extremely proud and impressed with the immense attention to detail, planning, and hard work that goes into the manufacturing of our products.
