His father hails from Venezuela, and his mother is from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean Islands. Growing up, Sheldon was one of eight siblings, four boys, and four girls. He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of West Indies before pursuing a Correctional Service Certificate Program at Erasmus University in the Netherlands in 2001. After moving to Toronto in 2003, Sheldon took up various odd jobs and later had to recertify both degrees, which took him three years.
He secured his first job in Canada at Spokes & Sports, as a sales representative. After excelling in his first week, he was offered a permanent position and eventually promoted to oversee the curling department. From 2009 -2014 Sheldon joined Imprint Plus as a Business Development Manager after working in the same capacity for Outdoor Outfits for 3 years. In 2014, he joined Staples as a Business Development Manager and was promoted to Strategic Account Leader before being rehired by Imprint Plus in 2022. Currently, he works as a Strategic Key Account Manager, overseeing the hotel, cruise ships, and hotel distributors portfolio of accounts, with a goal of making the hotel vertical the No.1 revenue generator.
Professionally, Sheldon is known for his authenticity and willingness to share and grow with others. His values align with liberal thinking and an expressive, direct communication style that stays true to his authentic self. His internal creed is “always be kind”. He’s a huge fan of anime and counts Deku from Hero Academia as one of his favorite characters and Demon Slayer as his favorite anime due to the beauty of how it is drawn. Outside of work, he loves to travel and has Japan and Kenya at the top of his bucket list.
