Pink Shirt Day 2025, Imprint Plus Team

At Imprint Plus, we take workplace culture seriously, not just in how we serve businesses with top-quality name badges and identification solutions, but in how we cultivate an environment of respect, kindness, and inclusivity. On February 26, our team proudly participated in Pink Shirt Day, an annual movement dedicated to standing against bullying and promoting kindness in schools, workplaces, and communities across Canada and beyond.

What Is Pink Shirt Day?

Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 in Nova Scotia, Canada, when two high school students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, took a stand against bullying. After witnessing a fellow student being harassed for wearing a pink shirt, they encouraged their classmates to wear pink in solidarity. Their simple yet powerful act of kindness sparked a nationwide movement, leading to Pink Shirt Day being officially recognized across Canada and later adopted by other countries, including New Zealand.

Today, Pink Shirt Day is about fostering a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusion. Schools, businesses, and organizations participate by organizing events, fundraising for anti-bullying programs, and reinforcing the importance of treating each other with dignity.

Imprint Plus' Commitment to Inclusivity

At Imprint Plus, we believe in the power of unity and respect. That is why our Social Committee took the initiative to organize this event, encouraging all employees to wear pink to show our solidarity against bullying and support a culture of kindness.

This event was organized by our Social Committee here at Imprint Plus, with the goal of fostering a supportive and empowering environment where everyone feels valued, connected, and inspired to make a positive impact through respect and dignity.” – Lavinia Handra, Marketing Specialist

Joanne Richards, General Manager at Imprint Plus, emphasized why this initiative is so meaningful to our company:

"It's important because it's about creating a space where everyone feels respected and included. I feel it's a simple way to show kindness which is important to me, and looking out for each other which ties into our values of Teamwork, Accountability and treating people well."

Our Social Committee, consisting of Lavinia Handra (Marketing Specialist), Joanne Richards (General Manager), Trevor Sidhu (Financial Analyst), Brenda Castells (Inside Sales Representative), Ashish Aneja (Customer Service Representative), Maria Bonfim (Customer Service Representative), and Kim Smith (Senior Product Manager), regularly organizes events like this to strengthen our workplace culture. Through community engagement and team-building activities, their goal is to bring our team together and encourage positive change.

The Power of Pink at Imprint Plus

On Wednesday, February 26, the halls of Imprint Plus were a sea of pink, as employees proudly wore the color to show their support. And yes, while Wednesdays may be for wearing pink, as Regina George famously declared in Mean Girls, our commitment to kindness goes beyond a single day. It is something we strive to embody every day. We are proud to stand with businesses and individuals worldwide in making workplaces and communities more inclusive. Because when we come together to support one another, we create a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
