About PLA/Wood Cards

Eco-friendly, functional and aesthetic, Evolis High Trust® PLA/WOOD cards are the ideal alternative to PVC cards for buffet labelling, food tags or privileged cards. PLA/WOOD Cards are made from bio-sourced materials, some of which are recycled.

Polylactic acid (PLA) is a sustainable plastic substitute made from renewable bio-sourced materials such as corn and sugar cane, and is non-petroleum-derived and non-toxic.

Wood fibres are co-products of the industrial processing of PEFC-certified wood from sustainably managed forests.

• For use with Edikio Access and Edikio Flex printers.
• With their reduced environmental impact and natural Wood look, PLA/WOOD cards offer similar user benefits to conventional PVC cards, as well as being durable and easy-to-clean.
• Tips for printing with PLA/WOOD cards:
  • Avoid printing on the edges of the Card.
  • Avoid very fine text and graphics.
• With CR80 PLA/WOOD tags you can only print with RMS Edikio black ribbon.
