Where can i find my badge templates for nameprint graphics (NPG)?

If you're using NamePrint Graphics (NPG) desktop software and receive an error asking you to "contact support for templates," it usually means your template files are missing, corrupted, or have not yet been added to your system. This article explains where to find those templates, how to check if they are working, and what to do if they are not.

Default Folder Location for Templates

All NPG templates are saved locally on your computer in the following folder:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\NamePrint GR\My NPG

This is the default directory used by the software to store and access template files ending in ".ipt."

Common Template Issues

  1. You see an error asking you to contact support

This message appears when no valid templates are found in the My NPG folder. It can be resolved by placing the correct files in that location.
  2. Template files are listed as 0 bytes

If the folder contains files that are zero bytes in size, they are corrupted and cannot be used. These files should be deleted and replaced with working versions.

How to Fix Missing or Corrupted Templates

  1. Navigate to:

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\NamePrint GR\My NPG

  2. Delete any files that show as 0 bytes in size or appear corrupted
  3. Copy and paste the correct template files into this folder.
You can find these attached in your welcome email or provided directly by your Imprint Plus Account Manager or Support Team
  4. Reopen the NPG software
  5. Click "Start Making Name Badges" and select your newly added templates

Quick Tip

Clicking the NPG desktop shortcut will automatically open the software and point to the same folder where templates are stored. If the templates are not appearing, double-check that they are saved in this folder and are not corrupted.
